WE, the parishioners of Our Lady of Kāpiti Parish, centred in the Gospel of Christ, contribute to the Mission of the Archdiocese of Wellington, through our commitment to the values of: Worship, Hospitality, Community, Justice and Service.
Our Parish Area covers the geographic area from Paekakariki in the south to Te Horo in the North, comprising the Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Te Horo communities.
Our Mass Centre is:
The area is guarded by Our Lady's statue on the hill above Paraparaumu.
Our aim is to provide information for visitors, new comers to our area and parishioners. The website has general information about our Parish, its various groups & ministries, and also details of what is happening in the Parish.
We have had a number of people requiring help with essential groceries or offering to help those, who are unable to! We understand that some families have been cut off from their loved ones, and feel scared and lonely at this time. For those that can, now is the time to act…
How well do you know those in your neighbourhood? How about leaving a note in their mailbox or if you know their number, give them a telephone call? The Parish office is collating names and numbers of people willing to help, but please remember that those people offering to help, must do so within a safe distance…
SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL: The Vinnie's (SVdP) continues to supply food parcels as an essential service to our Parish and wider Kapiti community over the Covid-19 period and beyond. Working with support from the Wellington Regional Emergency Management Office (WREMO), we have secured our grocery supply and a contactless food parcels service. If you, or someone you know, needs our support please contact us in confidence:
Rebecca Thomson #027 434 8244, Eddie Dickson #029 772 2003.
