There will be two MASSES for ASH Wednesday, 26 February 2020

Palms to Ashes. Please place your palms from last year in the basket in the foyer at the Hall or at Cedarwood. These will be used to create ashes for use on Ash Wednesday

WE, the parishioners of Our Lady of Kāpiti Parish, centred in the Gospel of Christ, contribute to the Mission of the Archdiocese of Wellington, through our commitment to the values of: Worship, Hospitality, Community, Justice and Service.

Our Parish Area covers the geographic area from Paekakariki in the south to Te Horo in the North, comprising the Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Te Horo communities.

Our Mass Centre is:

  1. St Patrick's Hall, Presentation Way, Paraparaumu.

The area is guarded by Our Lady's statue on the hill above Paraparaumu.

Our aim is to provide information for visitors, new comers to our area and parishioners. The website has general information about our Parish, its various groups & ministries, and also details of what is happening in the Parish.

 


MASS TIMES: - Requiem Mass usually becomes Mass of the day for the parish

NOTICE: - During the school holidays there will be no Liturgy of the Word with Holy Communion in St Patrick’s Hall but there will be Mass on Tuesdays and alternate Fridays.

The Parish Office
From 19 August 2019 the Parish Office will be located at 45B Te Roto Drive, Paraparaumu.  This is a temporary move prior to our relocation to the new parish offices, 1 Presentation Way, due for completion and opening Easter 2020. The Office phone number, email address and postal address, P O Box 1, Paraparaumu 5254, remain unchanged.
The Blessed Sacrament
To assist Ministers of Holy Communion, the Blessed Sacrament will be reserved in the homes of Father Michael McCabe at Waikanae Beach, Father Jim Kershaw and Merle Whiteman at Brookvale Village, Sisters Barbara Henley and Joan Gore at Bishop Snedden Village. We encourage Ministers of Holy Communion to take Holy Communion from one of the Parish Sunday or Weekday Masses. Wherever possible exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will continue each Friday before Mass. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated during that time.
Transport
There will be parishioners requiring assistance to get to and from the Sunday Masses. If you are able to
